
AV Design Engineer

The AV Design Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing audiovisual systems for various projects and environments. This includes creating detailed design plans, selecting appropriate equipment, and ensuring that the final installation meets all technical and functional requirements. The AV Design Engineer collaborates with clients, project managers, and installation teams to deliver high-quality AV solutions.
Primary Responsibilities
Design AV systems based on client requirements and project specifications.
Create detailed design documentation, including system schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout plans.
Collaborate with clients and internal teams to align on requirements.
Develop technical specifications for AV systems, including hardware, software, and networking components.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Conduct site surveys to assess the physical environment and identify any potential challenges.
Manage AV design projects from inception to completion.
Maintain detailed records of all design work, including changes and updates.
Prepare technical documentation and user manuals for clients.
Stay current with the latest AV technologies and industry trends.
Evaluate new products and technologies for potential inclusion in future projects.
Education & Skills
High School Diploma
Bachelor's degree Electrical Engineering or AV a Plus
3+ years' experience in AV Engineering
Good working knowledge of audio-visual products from major manufacturers
Proficiency control system design regarding control logic development and touch panel design and layout
Proficiency in CAD software and other design tools.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
