WSP is seeking a Construction Project Manager to join our Construction Management team in Savannah, GA.
Your Impact
Position Overview:
This is advanced level technical work in functional areas of project administration and management.
Employees, under limited supervision, independently manage construction activities on large complex projects (phases) such as Major intersection improvement, widening, reconstruction, diverging diamond, urban interstate resurfacing and complex Bridge Project or other projects of similar scope/complexity.
Employee inspects and supervises lower-level inspectors performing routine to moderately complex inspections of roadway and structure construction processes and materials to assure compliance with the construction contract and other applicable guidelines.
Work includes monitoring traffic control and erosion control on the project.
Work also includes monitoring construction costs; negotiating prices for contract modifications with contractors; writing or supervising the preparation of reports and correspondence; and working and communicating with contractors, supervisors, subordinates, local officials, media and the general public.
Who You Are
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent
7-10 years of construction experience
Registered in State of Georgia as a Professional Engineer (or if registered in another state, must obtain registration in Georgia within six (6) months)
Thorough knowledge of specifications and standards, acceptable construction practices, materials, methods and equipment used in highway construction and engineering.
Thorough knowledge of mathematical functions, including algebraic, geometric, and trigonometric calculations related to highway/transportation engineering. Ability to read and comprehend construction plans and all other documents associated with the project.
Must be licensed to operate motor vehicles in accordance with Georgia Law.
The selected candidate must be authorized to work in the United States.
