Serve as a systems engineer supporting U.S. Navy munition and energetic programs, providing technical leadership throughout the system development lifecycle to meet technical objectives for U.S. Navy programs.

Responsibilities
Provide technical leadership throughout the system development lifecycle to meet technical objectives for U.S. Navy programs.
Lead or provide engineering technical direction for problem definition, analysis, development, and implementation of complex systems by applying systems engineering principles across all DoD 5000 acquisition phases.
Define system requirements, interfaces, and Design Reference Missions (DRMs) and refine them throughout system design and development.
Actively participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to innovate solutions, and develop and maintain comprehensive SE plans and Systems Engineering Technical Reviews (SETRs).
Oversee specialty engineering tasks and system-of-systems integration, including mission and capability planning, reliability and maintainability analysis, human factors considerations, and model‑based systems engineering.
Collaborate with teams to recommend and advise on system development, improvements, optimization, and support efforts while performing risk assessments and analyses using modeling and simulation techniques.
Oversee Integration & Test activities by creating test plans and reports, conducting requirements verification, analysis, and traceability, witnessing tests, and ensuring verification accounting.
Produce clear, concise technical documentation tailored to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders while supporting and developing essential program artifacts and managing configuration and risk throughout the program lifecycle.
Qualifications
12+ years of experience solving complex systems engineering problems using standard methodologies.
Experience supporting the design, development, and review of systems engineering design artifacts, including System Requirements Document (SRD), Subsystem Requirements Document (SSRD), Test Requirements Document (TRD), requirements analysis, interface design, system architecture development, and system performance analysis.
Knowledge of the systems engineering lifecycle.
Secret clearance.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics.
Nice If You Have
5+ years of experience with U.S. Navy or armed services directed energy systems research and development programs.
Experience with DoD technical and engineering requirements in support of NAVSEA programs.
Experience with combat system integration with command and control, weapon control, networks, display systems, and communications systems.
Knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) design and tools and Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) techniques.
Master's degree in Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics.
Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) Certification.
Clearance
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Secret clearance is required.
Compensation
The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The posting will close within 90 days from the posting date.
Work Model
Remote: If this position is listed as remote, there may still be occasions when you are required to work in person at a Booz Allen or customer facility.
Hybrid: If this position is listed as hybrid, you will be expected to work from a Booz Allen facility frequently, in alignment with leadership expectations and the needs of the role. You may also be required to work from or visit a customer facility.
