Construction Manager Trainee

The Construction Manager Trainee supports the construction management process by assisting with job scheduling, site safety inspections, punch lists, new‑home orientation, and model/inventory maintenance. The role includes maintaining site cleanliness, addressing service‑related issues, and participating in construction meetings and training sessions with division personnel, subcontractors, business partners, and homeowners to ensure smooth project execution and successful home deliveries. This hands‑on position prepares trainees for future leadership roles in construction management.
Responsibilities
Assist in preparing and maintaining job schedules.
Inspect and enforce job safety requirements.
Complete punch lists and new‑home orientation lists.
Attend construction meetings and training classes as scheduled.
Ensure site cleanliness and assist with model/inventory maintenance.
Assist in resolving service‑related issues.
Interact daily with division personnel, subcontractors, business partners, and homeowners.
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent required; 0–2 years of home‑building or construction experience acceptable.
Construction experience preferred.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
Effective communication skills.
Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
Valid auto insurance coverage.
Physical & Office/ Site Presence Requirements
This is primarily a sedentary office position that requires the incumbent to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move. The employee must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs and use finger dexterity.
