Location: Peru, Indiana
Salary: $80,000–$100,000 + bonus
Must-Have Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field OR equivalent experience
Minimum 2+ years of relevant maintenance leadership or supervisory experience
Proven ability to lead troubleshooting and solve complex equipment/process issues
Experience training, coaching, or mentoring team members
Strong communication and leadership skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Willingness to work 2nd or 3rd shift, including weekends or extended hours as needed
Position Overview
We are seeking a hands‑on
Maintenance Supervisor
to lead maintenance operations in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for driving equipment reliability, reducing downtime, and ensuring all plant systems operate at peak efficiency. You will oversee maintenance teams and play a key role in keeping production running smoothly while maintaining compliance and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise Maintenance Mechanics and Electricians in preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance
Coordinate maintenance schedules with production to minimize downtime
Develop and implement maintenance systems such as PM, PdM, TPM, SOPs, and safety programs
Troubleshoot equipment issues and provide both immediate fixes and long‑term solutions
Track and report maintenance performance using KPIs (OEE, reliability, vendor performance, etc.)
Ensure compliance with USDA regulations and plant standards
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory
Foster a strong team culture through coaching, development, and leadership
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced technical expertise in:
Ammonia refrigeration systems
High‑pressure boilers
Compressed air systems
PLCs, instrumentation, mechanical and electrical systems
Experience in large‑scale manufacturing environments
Knowledge of maintenance management systems, work orders, and inventory systems
Strong leadership capabilities including conflict resolution, delegation, and change management
Bilingual skills are a plus
