Technical Accounting Manager - TikTok USDS

Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with business teams to evaluate business scenarios and document appropriate technical accounting treatments for external audit purposes.
Analyze complex business transactions and provide accounting treatment evaluation in compliance with local and international accounting standards (US GAAP & IFRS).
Assist in month‑end closing processes for US, UK and AU entities, ensuring compliance with regional requirements and coordination with local teams.
Manage the preparation and coordination of the annual external audits.
Work with the USDS Accounting Lead on cross‑functional special projects, including accounting policy updates, system improvements, and internal control enhancements.
Communicate clearly and effectively with internal and external stakeholders, translating accounting implications into business‑friendly language.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with 5+ years of relevant accounting experience.
CPA or equivalent certification.
Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, US GAAP).
Proven ability to explain complex technical accounting issues to non‑finance stakeholders.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills – must be proactive, clear, and collaborative.
Detail‑oriented with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
Self‑motivated and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in UK and Australian accounting is highly desirable.
Knowledge and understanding of TMT industry practices and reporting processes.
Job Information
Compensation Description (Annually): The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $96,000 – $215,967 annually. Compensation may vary outside this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location.
