
Commodity Trade Analyst

An independent commodity trading shop is looking to bring on an analyst to support the trading desk across trade support, reporting, reconciliation, and physical logistics. The position is highly hands-on and integral to the daily functioning of the trading business, with direct exposure to trading activity and physical transactions.
Responsibilities
Manage all trade support and analysis for the trading desk.
Perform daily reconciliation of trading P&L and positions.
Oversee physical commodities logistics and scheduling.
Generate and review contracts for physical commodity trades executed directly with counterparties.
Support the firm's lending facility and working capital requirements to ensure efficient cash flow for physical transactions on a day-to-day basis.
Coordinate closely with trading, accounting, logistics, and external counterparties.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related degree
2-3 years of experience in operations and/or accounting.
2+ years of
commodities experience,
preferably in physical markets.
Prior experience working with physical inventory, logistics, or settlements is a plus.
