Electronics Technician, Associate

Overview

What You\'ll be Doing: Assist with the testing, troubleshooting, and repair of various electronic systems across campus. This includes intercom, fire alarm, and security systems; public address (P.A.) and surveillance systems; fiber optics, TV distribution, and voice/data cabling; card access systems and gate controllers; laboratory equipment and classroom lighting; athletic scoreboards and related event systems; and two-way radios, testing equipment, and associated raceway and support devices.
Responsibilities

This position requires the ability to work overtime as needed, as well as availability for weekends and occasional evenings, particularly in support of Athletics events.
Compensation

The target hourly rate for this position is $21.93. Final compensation will be based on the candidate’s experience.

What We\'re Looking For

Education and Experience

Qualified Candidates Will Need
High school diploma/GED
No specific work experience required
Skills Needed

Must be able to train, learn and perform towards the goal of becoming a level VII electronics technician
Mechanical aptitude and demonstrated knowledge of hand and power tools/equipment usage necessary
Must be able to climb ladders, scaffolds and work from heights up to 100 feet
Must be able to lift and carry 50 to 80 lbs. frequently, and up to 100 lbs. or more occasionally
Valid driver’s license required
