A partner of The Mom Project in the automotive industry is seeking a
contract Office Coordinator
to help support their business needs.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain systems to manage daily office and operational routines
Assist in planning, executing, and evaluating projects and programs
Monitor ongoing projects and provide updates to leadership on progress
Coordinate special or ad hoc projects as needed
Shadow leadership to learn day‑to‑day operations within production environments
Support safety initiatives, including participating in safety walks and reinforcing safe practices
Assist with quality response efforts, including identifying issues, containment, and root cause analysis
Monitor production flow and support throughput management by identifying constraints and escalating issues
Support workforce coordination, including staffing adjustments, task assignments, and team collaboration
Attend shift meetings, production reviews, and team huddles to understand operations and decision‑making processes
Track and report basic operational data related to safety, quality, delivery, and productivity
Progressively take on operational responsibilities with the goal of independently managing production lines
Support continuous improvement initiatives and adherence to standard work processes
Collaborate effectively with operators, engineers, skilled trades, and leadership teams
Skills and Qualifications
Currently enrolled in a degree program, preferably near graduation
Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and recommend solutions
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work across diverse teams
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel and Outlook
Ability to work in a fast‑paced, hands‑on operational environment
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Willingness to learn and adapt through on‑the‑job training
Basic understanding or interest in mechanical systems or automotive work is a plus
Hours and Location
This is an on‑site role based in Bowling Green, KY, offering up to 32 hours per week across a 4‑day workweek, with flexibility to work fewer hours if needed.
There are two openings available, one for the 1st shift and one for the 2nd shift.
The 1st shift runs from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, while the 2nd shift runs from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM.
Work schedules are flexible and can be adjusted to accommodate school schedules, including preferred working days.
This role is for college students, with a team that is accustomed to providing a high level of scheduling flexibility.
