The Department of Ophthalmology at Loyola University Health System (LUHS) and the Edward Hines, Jr. VA Hospital are seeking a full-time glaucoma ophthalmologist. Candidates must have strong academic interests and commitment. Responsibilities include patient care, clinical teaching of medical students and residents, as well as research. The appropriate academic appointment will be provided based on the candidates qualifications. Candidates must have fellowship training in glaucoma. The Department of Ophthalmology provides 40,000 combined visits per year at all locations. Faculty members see patients at Hines VA hospital, LOC as well as 4 other satellite offices. The glaucoma ophthalmologist will see patients at the LOC, the Loyola Center for Health at Burr Ridge (a 104,000 sq ft multispecialty outpatient facility), and Edward Hines, Jr. Veterans Administration Hospital.
