
HR Specialist

THK Manufacutring of America is currently looking for an HR specialist to join our team at our Hebron, Ohio plant.
Job Duties
Global Resource Information Platform System.
Maintain and update employee information in the global resource information platform to ensure accuracy for new hires, terminations, and transfers. Prepare quarterly reports, detailing headcount and employment classifications. Ensure compliance with global HR policies and maintain data integrity across the platform.
ExpatriatesManagement.
Conduct onboarding new hire orientation. Educate expatriates on US labor law, tax, and evaluation process. Prepare reports on price index to estimate living costs, salary standards, adjustments, raise, etc.
Develop Training Programs.
Create employee training programs on global business and employment practices, cross-cultural communication and performance evaluation. Work with the culture & engagement team to develop in-house training programs to raise cultural awareness and sensitivity and to improve communications between employees. Coordinate with
universities
to create internship programs.
Compensation/Benefits Management.
Create recruitment projects in Microsoft Exceland Paycor. Create employee initiatives and competitive compensation programs for each job level; and enter human resources and payroll information in HR information systems. Prepare reports on all fringe benefit costs. Maintain PTO and vacation balance. Ensure compliance with federal and state labor law and wage regulations. Prepare reports for management.
Improve workplace environments in both the factory and support departments. Promote HR sustainability initiatives by promoting resource efficiency, reducing carbon footprint, and supporting corporate ESG goals within HR operations.
Minimum Degree Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business management, environmental studies or a related field.
Minimum Experience Requirements
2 years’ experience in compliance with labor laws and wage regulations.
2 years’ experience in developing employee training programs.
2 years’ experience in recruitment projects and HR functions including 1 year with payro ll through HRIS, ATS or Excel.
Travel Requirements
Travel required domestically (KY, IL, MI) to participate in JETRO events and HR summits 4~6 times per year for up to 2 days each travel, and to meet with HR and IoT GM at the HQ in Japan once a year for 1-2 weeks per trip.
Language Requirements
Fluency in both English and Japanese required to communicate with Japanese HR consultants and Japanese language professors on internship, employment, Japanese proficiency evaluation and report to local president and parent on labor, employment, legal, and management issues (SAP, internal audit, etc.)
