Summary
The Architect of the Capitol (AOC) seeks an Operational Assistant to support day‑to‑day supervision and work activities in the Office of the Chief Administrative Officer, Office Services Division. The role requires a flexible work schedule, including potential weekend and holiday work.

Duties
The Operational Assistant will handle a variety of administrative tasks, coordinate office services operations, and provide technical and supervisory leadership to employees.

Qualifications
You must meet the United States Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) qualification requirements, including the specialized experience and educational requirements outlined in the OPM Qualifications Standards Handbook for General Schedule Positions. Eligibility and qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of the job announcement.

Specialized experience must be equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. For GS‑09, candidates must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to GS‑08. Examples of specialized experience include:

Providing administrative and technical leadership or supervision to employees.

Managing an organization's day‑to‑day office services operations.

Analyzing and evaluating program performance data to identify problems and make recommendations for improvement.

Directing highly technical, complex office services programs.
