Overview
Barnard is seeking a professional to support core student administrative operations across registrar, advising, financial aid, and student finance functions. The role focuses on delivering accurate, efficient, and student-centered services while leveraging enterprise systems.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day operations across registrar, advising, financial aid, and student finance areas
Maintain and process student records, enrollment data, and academic updates
Support advising workflows and student lifecycle processes
Assist with financial aid administration and student account coordination
Ensure data accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiency
Provide front-line support to students, resolving inquiries and issues
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Higher Education Administration, Business Administration, or related field
3+ years of experience in higher education administrative operations
Hands-on experience with Ellucian Colleague
Experience working with Workday Student or similar SIS platforms
Strong data management skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple processes across departments
Clear communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in a related field
Experience across multiple student service areas (registrar, advising, financial aid, finance)
Exposure to system implementation or process improvement initiatives
Familiarity with compliance and reporting requirements in higher education
Detail-oriented and highly organized
Comfortable working with complex systems and data
Proactive in identifying and solving operational issues
Strong interpersonal skills with a student-first mindset
Able to work independently and collaborate across teams
