Sofidel America is experiencing tremendous growth, which is why we are seeking a dynamic Human Resources (HR) Generalist to join the team at our tissue converting facility in Duncan, SC. Now is the time to become part of this exceptional, talent-rich organization.

The HR Generalist will lead the HR function and oversee our HR assistant. The role will serve as a strategic business partner to site leaders and oversee all areas of HR including employee relations, payroll systems, recruiting, leadership development, and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations. This role requires outstanding interpersonal skills to manage personnel effectively, as well as strong multitasking abilities to handle the demands of a fast-paced 24/7/365 manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the implementation and execution of HR strategies, policies, and initiatives aligned with business objectives.

Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding.

Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and leadership on HR matters such as performance management, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.

Process bi-weekly payroll, track time and attendance for a non-exempt population of ~150 employees.

Oversee employee orientation and onboarding programs, ensuring a seamless transition for new hires.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

Process unemployment claims and handle communications in accordance with federal and state regulations.

Coach and advise management and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices to promote fairness and consistency.

Assist in the development and implementation of training programs to support employee growth and engagement.

Track and analyze turnover rates, exit interviews, and HR metrics to drive strategic improvements.

Administer HR policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with company objectives.

Participate in audits, reporting, and the tracking of HR metrics for corporate and regulatory purposes.

Lead employee engagement efforts; coordinate site events.

Perform additional HR functions as assigned to support department and business success.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred

PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification preferred

Minimum of 3 years of progressive HR experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting

Bilingual (English and Spanish) highly preferred

Comprehensive knowledge of HR policies, practices, and employment law

Proficient in HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office Suite

Experience with HRIS, ATS, and recruitment platforms

Strong organizational and time-management skills

Strong knowledge of recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, and compliance.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities

Proven ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism

High ethical standards and attention to detail
