**Job Title: Metal Finisher**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled machine operator with experience in working with lathe machines, specifically Haas machines, for over 2 years. The successful candidate must be proficient in reading blueprints, using hand tools, and polishing or grinding edges of medical tools to ensure they meet specifications.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate metal finishing equipment, including polishing belts and wheels.
+ Use and maintain chemical baths to strip and polish parts.
+ Utilize cleaning baths for cleaning metal and plastic parts.
+ Finish metal products according to customer specifications.
+ Inspect, measure, and test manufactured products.
+ Deburr manufactured parts to meet quality standards.
+ Ensure products conform to specifications.
+ Prevent damage to equipment and processes.
+ Adhere to ISO quality management system procedures.
+ Follow safety and environmental procedures.
+ Execute written and verbal instructions from leadership.
+ Collaborate with all departments as necessary.
+ Perform non-routine tasks as assigned by supervisors or company officers.
**Essential Skills**
+ 2+ years of experience with lathe machines (Haas preferred).
+ Proficiency in blueprint reading.
+ Experience with grinding, polishing, deburring, and buffing.
+ Strong math skills, including the ability to perform calculations in both English and Metric systems.
+ Ability to read complicated drawings and specifications.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ 3+ years of experience in metal finishing preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ Working knowledge of AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
+ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
+ Physical ability to stand for long periods, use hand tools, and lift or move up to 25 lbs.

Our facility operates a busy schedule with shifts from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday, and one Saturday a month. The role involves standing for long periods and requires frequent use of hand tools and measuring devices.

This is a Contract position based out of Florence, AL.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $20.00/hr.
