
2nd Shift Maintenance Technician

Job Description
Maintains, tests and repairs electrical/electronic, PLC troubleshooting, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components.
Shift
2nd Shift: Monday - Friday, 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm with 1 to 2 hours overtime based on customer needs.
Key Responsibilities
Ensures reliability of machinery and equipment by completing preventive maintenance on machinery and systems.
Performs tasks including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, PLC, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of equipment.
Troubleshoot, modify, and diagnose issues with PLC systems (e.g., Allen‑Bradley, Siemens) to support production efficiency.
Reads and interprets equipment manuals, diagrams, sketches, engineering specifications, and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
Uses hand tools and measuring instruments to determine changes in dimensional requirements of parts.
Assembles, installs, adjusts, and calibrates mechanical and electrical machinery and equipment. Dismantles, repairs, rebuilds, and replaces equipment and parts as needed.
Adheres to all plant safety policies. Participates in plant-wide safety, housekeeping, Operational Excellence, and Lean Manufacturing programs.
Provides assistance and guidance to junior maintenance colleagues.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
Typically possesses a high school diploma (or equivalent) or technical training and 2‑3 years of relevant experience; 2+ years of experience and/or equivalent training in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Technical or professional certification preferred and/or completion of an Associate’s degree in a related field.
3+ years and/or equivalent experience preferred in PLC and HMI configuration, control circuit analysis, design, troubleshooting and solving software/hardware issues, high voltage electrical maintenance, mechanical repairs, hydraulics, and pneumatics in an industrial environment.
Knowledge and Skills
Demonstrates ability to select and operate appropriate hand, power and specialty tools and diagnostic equipment to complete job tasks.
Possesses operational knowledge of automated industrial machinery, and electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Demonstrates ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and work orders.
Demonstrates strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to effectively communicate issues and solutions to team members.
Demonstrates ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Possesses ability to troubleshoot, disassemble, and reassemble manufacturing equipment.
Demonstrates strong written and oral communication skills.
Demonstrates ability to work effectively under limited supervision.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software.
Compensation Range
The pay range for this position is $19.38 - $32.93. Typically, a competitive wage for new hires will fall between $30.02 and $30.02. Offers may vary based on market data and other factors such as job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. The starting rate is not representative of future compensation increases.
