Addison Group is partnering with a growing organization in the construction services space to identify a Transportation Coordinator / Dispatcher. This company supports large-scale field operations and is expanding due to increased demand for its services.
Job Description
The Transportation Coordinator / Dispatcher plays a key role in organizing daily field operations by scheduling drivers, coordinating routes, and ensuring timely service execution. This individual will serve as a central point of communication between field teams, internal departments, and customers to keep operations running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and assign daily routes based on driver availability and workload priorities
Communicate schedules, updates, and changes to drivers and internal teams
Monitor daily operations and adjust routing as needed to maintain efficiency
Serve as a primary contact for drivers, addressing questions and resolving issues in real time
Provide clear instructions and updates regarding job assignments and route changes
Track and review driver logs, inspections, and related documentation
Partner with leadership to address customer concerns and service issues
Keep customers informed on service timing and any delays
Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and applicable regulations
Escalate and document any incidents or safety concerns
Qualifications
1–3 years of experience in dispatching, logistics coordination, or customer service
Prior exposure to construction, field services, or transportation environments preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word
Familiarity with GPS tracking or routing systems
Strong communication skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting
Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check (MVR required for driving eligibility)
Schedule: Monday–Friday with rotating on-call coverage (approximately every third weekend)
