Business Development Representative / Appointment Setter
Remote plus Occasional Travel for Trade Shows

$25/hour base + commission on performance

Market JD is hiring a Business Development Representative / Appointment Setter to help us book meetings with prospective clients.

This role is built for someone who is confident on the phone, comfortable with cold outreach, and knows how to turn targeted prospect lists into real conversations and scheduled appointments. A major part of the job will involve cold calling trade show attendee lists and following up with prospects through phone, email, and LinkedIn. From time to time, this person will also attend trade shows and help generate opportunities in person.

We are looking for someone who can stay organized, follow up consistently, and apply good judgment to cold outbound sales engagements. Candidates with experience selling to law firms, especially personal injury firms, and candidates with familiarity with digital marketing or SEO will stand out.

What you’ll do

Cold call targeted prospect lists, including trade show attendee lists

Book qualified meetings for company leadership

Follow up with prospects by phone, email, and LinkedIn

Track outreach, notes, and pipeline activity in HubSpot

Help improve outreach results through disciplined follow-up and strong execution

Attend trade shows when needed and help generate meetings before, during, and after the event

What we’re looking for

Experience in outbound sales, business development, SDR, or appointment-setting roles

Experience using HubSpot

Strong cold calling skills

Ability to reach decision-makers and move prospects to scheduled meetings

Strong verbal communication and follow-up skillsProfessional presence on the phone and in person

Willingness to travel occasionally for trade shows

Preferred

Experience selling to personal injury lawyers or law firms

Knowledge of digital marketing or SEO

Familiarity with legal marketing

Experience following up on trade show leads

Based in the greater Chicagoland area

Compensation

$25/hour base pay

Commission on meetings that close

Strong performers will have the opportunity to materially increase earnings through results
