Position Overview
Accounting Clerk for a diversified construction group in Fresno, CA – Temporary to Hire. Full‑time (40 hours per week), Monday‑Friday 7:30 AM–4:30 PM. Salary $20–$25 per hour.

Job Responsibilities
Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and maintaining accurate aging reports.
Conduct bank reconciliations and maintain the general ledger.
Assist with payroll functions: processing, payment, and record keeping.
Work with vendors, ensuring all expenses are coded and matched correctly.
Perform data entry tasks and utilize Microsoft Office and Excel to maintain records and create reports.
Utilize a ten‑key calculator for accurate data entry and record keeping.
Manage time effectively to ensure all tasks are completed on schedule.
Assist with cost control procedures, including preparation and analysis of costing reports.
Perform other duties as assigned, including special projects and ad hoc financial analysis.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within construction.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Strong knowledge of general accounting principles, including bank reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, and aging reports.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time‑management skills, with ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Strong data‑entry skills, with experience using a ten‑key calculator.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience with payroll processing, vendor management, and expense coding.
Strong understanding of cost control procedures.
