Logistics Clerk
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Run reports from basis and key data into excel spreadsheets
Monitor basis to Ross & production to warehouse inventory transactions
Weekly count of finished goods & raw materials in shipping freezer
Run end of month – basis to ross comparisons
Troubleshoot problems with scanners – if cannot resolve report to IT
Run EDI transfers, monitor for errors, resolve issues, if cannot resolve report to corporate IT
Cycle count entire warehouse 2 times a month - physically verify pallet counts & locations in shipping room
Create excel spreadsheets as needed
Cross reference inbound shipments with receiving paper work, co-pack terminal,and basis to Ross
2 times a year – physical inventory, monitor progress, compare basis to basis before & after, compare to ross before & after
Handle physical product returns & credits according to Shipping, USDA, QA, and Food Safety procedures
Keep new side of shipping clean & ensure all boxes & pallets are in proper place
Label cross dock pallets & put on racks
Fill in for other areas as needed
Other duties may be assigned by the Supervisor
Physical Demands:
Occasional prolonged standing and walking
Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. several times per shift
Occasional reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling & crouching
Manual dexterity & mobility required
PPE / Tools:
Steel toed boots & Bump cap
Other equipment or tools may be needed.
Work Environment:
Temperatures range from 26 to 32 degrees in shipping cooler
Temperatures are 0 degrees or less in the freezer
Work in a close proximity
Safety:
Expected to work continuously in a safe manner
Expected to encourage others to work continuously in a safe manner
Expected to report all unsafe conditions to appropriate parties
Expected to promote safety in all areas of the plant
Expected to maintain good housekeeping in all areas of the plant
Food Safety / Quality:
Adhere to all GMP's (Good Manufacturing Practices), such as good hand washing practices and adhering to the employee hygiene plan.
Follow all USDA guidelines
Report any issues regarding food safety or quality to supervision and/or quality assurance
Comply with client requirements when applicable
Other Requirements
Must be able to work flexible hours to include, up to 12 hours per day, depending upon the production season and some weekends.
Must be able to read, write and do basic math
Must be computer literate, operate PC
Must know or able to learn excel (a must) windows, outlook, word, access
Able to operate and receive license for order picker & walkie
Must not be afraid of heights – from 12 to 20 feet
Ability to see clearly at 20 feet or more
Ability to see clearly at 20 inches or less
Ability to see peripherally
Ability to adjust vision to brings objects into focus
Ability to withstand extreme cold
