
Estimating Coordinator

Our client, a construction company serving Central Texas, is seeking an Estimating Coordinator to join the estimating team in preparing accurate and timely cost estimates for construction projects at their South Austin office location. This role is responsible for organizing bid documents, coordinating subcontractor and supplier communication, maintaining databases, and ensuring all estimating activities run efficiently from bid solicitation through project handoff. This is a direct hire role with a base salary ranging between 50-60K.
Responsibilities
Assist estimators in preparing detailed cost estimates, bid packages, and proposals
Coordinate and distribute project plans, specifications, and addenda to Estimators
Maintain and update bid calendar
Review incoming bids for completeness and compliance with project requirements
Support quantity takeoffs and data entry into estimating software
Organize and maintain digital and physical project files
Keep record of all current and past jobs
Assist in preparing bid summaries and leveling proposals
Coordinate pre-bid meetings and communicate updates to estimating department
Ensure deadlines are met and all required documentation is submitted accurately
Qualifications
Associate's or Bachelor's degree (preferred)
1-3 years of experience in construction estimating, project coordination, or administrative support
Familiarity with construction documents (plans, specifications, contracts)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Experience with estimating software (e.g., Procore, PlanSwift, Bluebeam) is a plus
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach
Effective written and verbal communication
Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
