Role Overview
This position will serve as a site Construction Quality Coordinator, supporting various Georgia Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), Solar, and other construction projects. The role requires travel between sites as needed. One position will be based in the Macon area to support projects in Wadley, Warner Robbins, Dublin, and Albany, GA. A second position will be based in the Marietta area to support projects in Cartersville, Newnan, Gainesville, and Rome, GA. This role is essential for assisting project and construction management with the overall quality of the projects.
Key Responsibilities
Assist project management with the development and implementation of the project quality plan.
Provide oversight of onsite contractors to ensure work is performed to specifications and standards.
Assist with the development and documentation of site-specific procedures and guidelines.
Develop and maintain surveillance schedules and perform required surveillances to ensure adherence to applicable codes and standards.
Review inspection and test plans and monitor adherence to those plans.
Assist the construction team with any required preventative maintenance.
Participate in pre-bid, pre-mobilization, and other contractor meetings to ensure a clear understanding of project quality requirements.
Manage overall project quality in conjunction with project and construction management.
Required Qualifications
Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in quality oversight.
Education: A four-year degree in a related field may be considered in lieu of experience.
Skills & Certifications:
Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) / American Welding Society (AWS) certification is required.
Demonstrated ability as a self-starter who is proactive and possesses effective communication skills.
Familiarity with weld inspection and mapping.
Ability to perform quality surveillances of work performed onsite and review quality-related documentation.
Knowledge of hold points and witness points in the inspection process.
Working knowledge of applicable ASME, AWS, ANSI, ASTM, and ACI standards.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and standards.
Ability to function effectively in a team environment or work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
AMPP/NACE certification is a plus.
Familiarity with BESS and Solar construction is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
The anticipated pay range for this position is $40.00 to $50.00 per hour.
