Overview Job Title: Business Development Officer
Location: Remote Job (Position may be based in preferred national location)
Position Type: Full Time
Base pay range: $90,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr
Candidate Bonus Potential: 100.00%
Job Summary The Business Development Officer is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Small Business Administration (SBA) customer relationships, including business development, risk management, operations, underwriting, and relationship management.
Key Responsibilities Originate SBA loans, equipment leasing, and Asset-Based Lending (ABL) financing transactions nationwide for small businesses.
Develop and cultivate relationships with customers and brokers.
Generate business leads through networking and referrals.
Expand market penetration in assigned locations.
Promote the Bank's entrepreneurial lending philosophy.
Collaborate on marketing and sales strategies.
Manage the entire loan origination process from lead generation to funding.
Achieve annual production goals.
Utilize Salesforce and other origination systems.
Requirements Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience, 5+ years of sales experience in the financial services industry, strong SBA industry experience.
Skills: Proven sales ability ($20MM+ per year over the past three years), marketing and risk management experience, strong credit and commercial lending skills, working knowledge of financial statements, cash flow analyses, and loan structuring, basic understanding of SBA Loan Program, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, strong account relationship management and B2B sales skills.
Preferred: Active referral network.
