
Business Analyst

Overview
The IT Business Analyst partners with business stakeholders, Project Managers, and Solution Delivery Leads to deliver technology solutions across enterprise support functions. This role translates business needs into functional requirements and user stories and supports delivery from intake through user acceptance testing. This role operates with moderate autonomy and focuses on executing business analysis responsibilities within assigned initiatives.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Business & Requirements Analysis
Partner with business stakeholders across National Support Center departments (e.g., Marketing, HR, Recruiting, Finance, Clinical Services, Finance, Legal, etc.) to understand business objectives and opportunities
Elicit, analyze, and document functional and non‑functional requirements using interviews, workshops, and working sessions
Translate business needs into clear functional requirements, acceptance criteria, and user stories suitable for Agile development teams
Maintain requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring alignment from intake through delivery
Technical & Agile Enablement
Collaborate with Solution Delivery Leads, architects, and developers to clarify requirements, dependencies, assumptions and constraints
Participate in Agile ceremonies such as backlog refinement, sprint planning, and reviews to support effective delivery
Create, manage, and refine user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlog items using tools such as Azure DevOps or similar platforms
Ensure requirements are complete, testable, prioritized, and aligned to business outcomes prior to development kickoff
Assist in identifying integration points, data needs, and downstream impacts with guidance from technical leads
Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT), troubleshooting, and issue resolution throughout the project lifecycle
Project & Delivery Support
Work closely with Project Managers to support initiative planning, sequencing, and scope clarification
Identify risks, issues, and requirement gaps early and escale appropriately
Create documentation such as Data Flow Diagrams/BlueWorks, business rules, use cases, and decision logs using tools such as LucidChart, SmartSheet or similar tools
Testing & User Acceptance
Develop and execute UAT plans, test scenarios, and acceptance criteria tied directly to documented requirements
Lead UAT activities with business stakeholders, including facilitation, defect triage, and resolution validation
Confirm delivered solutions meet agreed‑upon requirements and formally support requirements sign‑off
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
Serve as a primary point of contact for requirement‑related questions
Facilitate discussions with stakeholders at varying levels in the organization
Communicate complex concepts in clear, practical terms tailored to the audience
Requirements
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience
3–5 years experience as a Business Analyst supporting technology initiatives
Experience translating business needs into functional requirements and user stories
Experience working with Agile development teams and participating in agile ceremonies
Hands‑on experience using work management tools, such as Microsoft Azure DevOps, or similar platforms
Experience supporting user acceptance testing and requirements validation
Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred
Experience using SmartSheet to support project tracking, coordination or delivery activities
Familiarity with system integrations, and data dependencies
Experience working alongside Project Managers and technical delivery teams
Exposure to portfolio‑based work or multiple concurrent initiatives
