Overview
A private organization is seeking an experienced CPA-designated Controller to lead its accounting function and support senior leadership on financial planning and strategic initiatives. This role requires a hands-on, detail-oriented leader who excels in fast-moving environments and can manage complex, high-volume activity with accuracy and discipline. This is an exciting role for someone who enjoys working with and collaborating with operations and for someone to be the right-hand to the CFO.
Responsibilities
Oversee all core accounting processes, financial reporting, and compliance.
Lead monthly close activities and ensure integrity of financial data.
Manage audits, tax coordination, and internal controls.
Support leadership with budgeting, forecasting, and analytical insight.
Identify opportunities to enhance systems, processes, and automation.
Provide direction and development to a small accounting team.
Qualifications
CPA required
At least 5 years of experience leading accounting functions at the Controller level
Needs experience from a small - mid-size organization
Strong technical accounting knowledge
Proven ability to streamline processes and leverage technology
Clear communicator with strong leadership presence
