HR Coordinator – 4+ month contract
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic HR Coordinator to join our HR team. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in all functional areas of human resources, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, payroll, and training. The ideal candidate will be service‑mindful, detail‑oriented, proactive, and eager to learn about the HR field.
Job Summary
The HR Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the Human Resources department by facilitating various HR functions and initiatives. Responsibilities include recruiting support, onboarding coordination, record‑keeping, compliance, employee relations inquiries, training support, payroll questions, and general HR projects.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment Support: Assist with Workday support to managers; manage background and drug screening to ensure timely candidate progression.
Onboarding: Facilitate onboarding for new hires, audit paperwork, provide orientation and onboarding calls, and ensure smooth transition with resources and policy overview.
Employee Relations: Serve as contact for inquiries on HR policies, benefits, and workplace matters; assist in employee engagement activities.
HR Administration: Maintain employee records, enter data into HR systems, handle compliance, prepare reports, and distribute internal communications on HR updates.
Training & Development: Coordinate LMS training programs and employee development initiatives; provide LMS support to employees and managers.
Payroll & Benefits Support: Answer basic payroll questions related to time and absence; respond to employee inquiries about benefits enrollment and program details.
General HR Support: Participate in HR projects and initiatives; stay current with HR best practices and suggest process improvements.
Qualifications
Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
Bilingual Spanish speaking preferred.
Strong interest in pursuing a career in human resources.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with a keen eye for detail.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Availability Monday – Friday, 7am – 7pm CST.
Workday experience is a plus.
Estimated Pay
Estimated Minimum Rate:
$14.00
Estimated Maximum Rate:
$20.00
