Overview
As a member of the Menzies Aviation Fuel Farm Operating Team, you will be responsible for sampling and testing products for quality control, performing inspections and basic maintenance on facilities, fuel systems, and fueling vehicles, and for receiving and dispatching jet fuel, gasoline, diesel fuel, av gas and glycol via pipelines and fuel trucks.

What You Will Be Doing

Hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical reports and preventive maintenance of equipment at fuel storage facilities and systems

Make required daily, weekly and monthly petroleum product log entries of fuel transactions, quality control, and maintenance

Responsible for preventive maintenance of equipment at fuel storage facilities and equipment on fueling vehicles

Perform routine and periodic inspections in compliance with company, customer, government and industry standards

Comply with A4A specifications on fuel quality

Transfer products and monitor storage tanks, pipelines and related equipment to ensure good working order, preventing spills, releases, overfills and product contamination

Understand and remedy abnormal fuel system alarm conditions and work in coordination with upstream shippers and airside hydrant system operations

Calculate and manage time inherent to storage tanks before reaching full capacity to avoid incidental automated valve or line shutdowns

Manage tank storage as demand presents for receipts and dispense in coordination with fuel flow rate

Understand and work in compliance with environmental regulations, including stormwater handling and discharge procedures

Responsible for oil‑water separator operations, off‑spec fuel handling and storage and loading into tanker trucks

Keep the Fuel Farm presentable at all times

Complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision

Conduct all work safely by adhering to company, customer, industry, local, state and federal safety policies and procedures

Properly manage hazardous materials and waste, including jet fuel and contaminated debris, and respond to emergencies appropriately

Conduct filter changes and manage the resulting contaminated filters appropriately

Other duties as assigned

What We Are Looking For

Must be 18 years of age

Must possess and maintain a valid U.S. driver’s license

Must pass all pre‑employment testing, including a physical, color vision test, audio test, and drug test

Proficient reading, writing and speaking in English

Able to lift and move up to 70 lbs while handling fueling carts and hoses

Basic math calculation skills

Must pass a background check and obtain the U.S. Customs seal as required

Flexible to work variable shifts, including weekends and holidays

Able to obtain and maintain all required airport and customs badges/seals

Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
