Project Manager – Heavy Civil Operations
Recruiting for the position of Project Manager, the successful candidate will support our Denver, CO office for intermountain heavy civil operations and manage complex and specialty civil construction projects within a vibrant, growing team.

Responsibilities

Planning and executing self‑performed complex civil construction projects.

Preparing and implementing contracts, including negotiating revisions while working with internal contracts teams as needed.

Demonstrating a dedication to safety and quality control on all aspects of project management while providing leadership expectations to field teams.

Developing and managing schedules in collaboration with field leadership and clients.

Maintaining profit & loss responsibility as well as other project financial reporting including projections, budgets, cost to completes, change orders, etc.

Overseeing the buyout of permanent materials, temporary materials, and equipment for projects.

Integrating into the heavy civil division by providing strong leadership qualities and direct supervision to project teams (including other Project Managers, Field Managers, Project Engineers, field crews) and subcontractors.

Working closely with in‑house Estimators and Sales teams to assist in reviewing bids and developing proposals.

Developing and maintaining strong customer relationships.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil/Structural Engineering or related field of study.

5–12 years of relevant civil construction industry experience.

Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Demonstrated capability to successfully manage construction projects ranging from $1 Million to $10 Million in contract value.

Previous experience managing heavy civil projects that include structural concrete placement, beam erection, segmental construction, or similar activities (hands‑on construction related experience is a plus).

Strong knowledge of computer‑based programs including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), HCSS, MS Project or Primavera P6, Procore, and other project management related and forecasting tools.

Strong leadership skills to effectively train and mentor others.

Travel expectation: jobsite visits as required.

We anticipate base salary in the $110–130k range based on education and experience.
