American Energy Resources is hiring Field Service Technicians in Nashville, Tennessee to install and replace gas meters in residential areas. This is a hands‑on, outdoor role ideal for individuals who enjoy physical work, working with tools, and being in the field rather than behind a desk. This position involves walking, lifting, and working outdoors daily in varying weather conditions.
Pay & Advancement
Training pay begins at $20.00 per hour
Overtime paid at 1.5× after 40 hours
Weekly performance incentives
Advancement opportunities into higher technician levels after training and qualification
Training
Training is provided locally before technicians begin full field work.
Responsibilities
Install and replace gas meters
Perform outdoor field work in varying weather conditions
Follow company and job site safety procedures
Work as part of a technician team
Maintain a professional and safety‑compliant appearance
Represent the company professionally when interacting with customers
Qualifications
Valid driver’s license required
Ability to perform the essential physical functions of the role with or without reasonable accommodation
Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Employment contingent on background check, drug screening, and driving record review where permitted by law
Preferred Experience
Utility or gas work
Construction or field service
Plumbing or mechanical experience
