Job Description

Maintain accounting files.

Enter data into the computer and proofread financial reports.

Process vendor invoices by comparing invoice amount with the authorized purchase order and receiving information. Prepare expenditure report. Check invoice activity against general ledger.

Record, classify, and summarize invoices, work orders, purchase orders, etc.

Assist in assembling and compiling financial data as requested.

Maintain center records, ledgers, and journals as necessary to determine center financial status.

Coordinate the distribution of student allowances for living expenses and payrolls.

Assist in compiling and preparing monthly financial reports.

Clearly communicate and consistently model appropriate CSS and employability skills.

Maintain accountability of staff, students, and property.

Adhere to safety practices in all areas of responsibility.

Foster and sustain a conducive environment at the center, ensuring it remains free from harassment, intimidation, and disrespect, thereby ensuring a safe space for both staff and students to engage in work and learning.

Attend all required staff training opportunities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or Business administration required.

One to three years of responsible experience in accounting required.

Proficient with Excel spreadsheet applications. Ability to analyze financial data and communicate results to management.

Experience working with youth.

A valid driver’s license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record.

Additional Information
This is an individual contributor role and does not have any direct reports. The lead may from time to time be required to support work in other regions. Domestic and international travel of approximately 20–30% may be required. Extensive standing, sitting and continuous computer, phone, and deskwork required. Work will be primarily in a defined office environment with specified hours. Will require one on one and group interaction with individuals from a diverse range of backgrounds. Must be available for occasional out of office meetings, conferences, training, and other events as needed.
