While assigned to the Fort Bragg Central Issue Facility (CIF), the Stock Clerk is responsible for issuing and receiving Organizational Clothing and Individual Equipment (OCIE). The role includes updating SM clothing records using the Installation Support Module (ISM) system, inspecting equipment for serviceability, stocking shelves, and verifying and counting equipment during the annual inventory.
Major Job Activities
Inspect and classify OCIE for serviceability
Examine stock to verify conformance to specifications
Move or transport material from one department or section to another, using material‑handling equipment
Store articles in bins, on floor or on shelves, according to identifying information such as style, size, or type of material
Fill orders or issue supplies from stock
Prepare periodic, special, or perpetual inventory of stock
Compile and review records to locate material using the ISM system
Assist in all inventories
Ensure all work areas are clean daily
Assist in upkeep and maintenance of the facility, equipment, and other warehouses
Ensure that all safety precautions are adhered to at all times
Perform other duties as required or directed by management
Working Environment
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as protective mask, safety vest, steel or composite shoes/boots, safety gloves, hard hat, and eyewear in certain areas
Work will typically be in a temperature‑controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment
May be times when an employee is exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions
Physical Activities
Operate standard office equipment such as computer, copy machine, and printer
Lift a minimum of 45 pounds
Stand and walk within work sites 6–8 hours a day in performance of duties
Push, pull, carry, stoop, bend, squat, and reach
Qualifications
Education / Certifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Pass a standard background check
Pass a pre‑employment drug screen
Hold a valid REAL ID state driver’s license with no restrictions
Obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC)
Obtain and maintain a NACI Tier 1 Public Trust
Provide proof of U.S. citizenship (e.g., birth certificate or U.S. passport)
Maintain driving privileges aboard Fort Bragg installation
Experience
Two (2) or more years of experience in supply operations
Possess high ethical standards and demonstrate professionalism
Ability to work independently or in a team‑based, highly collaborative environment
Skills
Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Ability to work independently or in a team‑based, highly collaborative environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact at all levels
Complete other duties as assigned to meet organizational/operational objectives
