Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable, hands‑on Facilities Technician to support the daily operation, maintenance, and overall presentation of our workplace. This role focuses on ensuring that our facilities function properly, look great, and provide a comfortable, efficient environment for employees. The ideal candidate is proactive, resourceful, and takes pride in keeping spaces well‑maintained and running smoothly.
Required Duties and Responsibilities
Stock and maintain breakrooms, supply areas, and common spaces
Monitor inventory of consumables and reorder supplies as needed
Perform basic electrical tasks, plumbing, and general building repairs (fixtures, doors, hardware, ceiling tiles, lighting, etc.)
Maintain and repair basic facility items by utilizing multiple craft skills (for example, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and material handling equipment,) and using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete tasks
Conduct routine preventive maintenance on equipment, tools, and building systems
Inspect interior and exterior areas regularly to ensure they are functioning correctly, clean, organized, and visually presentable
Maintain and monitor spaces including offices, conference rooms, parking lots, patios, and fenced areas
Develop or recommend solutions to facility issues and elevate when appropriate
Manage and coordinate outside contractors and vendors; oversee onsite work to ensure quality
Research suppliers, obtain quotes, and coordinate repair or service needs
Respond promptly to facilities tickets and employee requests
Assist with office moves, furniture adjustments, and space setups
Support ad‑hoc projects and duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Strong hands‑on mechanical aptitude and practical repair skills
Familiarity with manufacturing equipment or machinery to understand basic preventive maintenance needs
Ability to use various hand/power tools
3 – 5 years of experience in facilities, maintenance, or a related field
Knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
Understanding facilities management best practices
Ability to use hand tools and basic power tools safely and effectively
Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve issues independently
Good communication skills and a positive, service‑oriented approach
Preferred Qualifications
High mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot and perform mechanical repairs of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and carpentry.
Education
High School Diploma
Working Conditions
The diversity of work conditions may range from an environment where there is little or no physical discomfort, such as a general office environment, to warehouse and other facilities.
Physical Demands
Must have the ability to stoop, stand, climb, occasionally lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
Involves movement between departments, floors, and worksites to facilitate work.
Can move up and down ladders frequently
Comfortable working at heights frequently
Work Authorization Requirement
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis without the need for current or future employment visa sponsorship.
Hourly Rate
$28.00 – $35.00 per hour. Hourly rate depends on relevant work experience, education, training, essential skills, and/or other factors such as specialized or high‑demand professions. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible for an annual bonus. The pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of salary or annual bonus.
