Job Description
Operate all equipment.
Stock ingredients from delivery area, storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler.
Prepare product.
Receive and process telephone orders.
Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
Training
Orientation and training provided on the job.
Communication Skills
Comprehend and give correct written instructions.
Communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders over the phone and in person.
Essential Functions / Skills
Perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly (may use calculator).
Make correct monetary change.
Use verbal, written, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
Perform precise motor coordination between eye and hands/fingers.
Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Work Conditions
Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when removing trash and performing outside tasks. In‑store temperatures range from 36°F in cooler to 90°F and above in some work areas. Exposure to fumes from food odors, commercial dust, and hot surfaces/tools (up to 500°F). Cramped quarters including walk‑in cooler. Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
Physical Demands
Standing:
Most tasks performed from a standing position.
Walking:
Short distances, short durations.
Sitting:
Paperwork normally completed at a desk or table.
Lifting:
Bulk product deliveries weigh up to 60 pounds; items stacked on shelves up to 72" high.
Carrying:
Large cans (3 lb, 7 oz) and pizza sauce (30 lb) carried to storage or front of store.
Pushing:
Trays placed on dollies; a stack requires 7.5 lbs to push.
Climbing:
Occasionally navigate stairs or ladders.
Stoop/Bending:
Forward bending required at pizza assembly station; toe room present.
Crouching / Squatting:
Occasional at stock shelves and cleaning low areas.
Reaching:
Continually up, down, and forward; above 72" occasionally.
Hand Tasks:
Eye‑hand coordination essential; frequent use of hands throughout the day.
Delivery Responsibilities
Deliver product by car to customer door.
Deliver flyers, doorhangers, or other marketing materials.
Navigate delivery area using a valid driver license and a company‑insured vehicle.
Read maps and locate addresses within designated delivery area.
Navigate adverse terrain, multi‑story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product.
Drive and deliver company products within the designated area; may make several deliveries per shift.
Walk, climb stairs, and carry items during delivery.
Requirements
Valid driver license with a safe driving record meeting company standards.
Access to an insured vehicle suitable for delivery.
Strong navigational skills and ability to read directions accurately.
