
Surgery Scheduler

Job Summary
Full‑time position (Monday to Friday during the day). No nights, no on‑call, no weekends, no holidays.
We are looking for a Surgery Scheduler at Mission Spine who will use clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high‑quality, efficient care.
Responsibilities
Obtain CPT and ICD‑10 diagnosis codes and other clinical information necessary for patient treatment from practice staff, seeking assistance from coders as required.
Determine operating‑room time needed for procedures, coordinate with the facility to schedule procedures, and arrange anesthesia coverage. Confirm all requirements—medical/imaging records, equipment, and instruments—are received before the procedure.
Verify that the physician is credentialed at the center/facility prior to scheduling.
Coordinate provider clinic and facility schedules, including provider time‑outs, travel, meetings, conferences, and continuing medical education.
Support and adhere to HCA Code of Conduct, Ethics and Compliance policies, and HIPAA requirements.
Qualifications
High school diploma preferred.
Minimum one year of experience in a medical office setting (e.g., ambulatory surgery center, hospital, doctor’s office) highly preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification may be required.
