Midwest Physicians Surgery Center is hiring an GI Tech
Position requires weekdays only — no holidays, weekends, or call. Some later evenings required. Competitive salary and benefits for the right candidate.
The GI technician/Endoscopy functions under the direct supervision of a surgeon to assist with the operation of technical equipment used during simple and complex endoscopic procedures. The physician, registered nurse and the GI technician work as a team in the procedure room to provide optimal conditions for positive patient outcomes. The GI technician is also responsible for cleaning, disinfecting and maintaining endoscopes and other instrumentation. Other responsibilities include facilitating patient flow, room turnover, stocking procedure rooms, ordering supplies and performing a variety of clerical duties.
Qualifications
High school graduate or equivalent.
Preferred two years’ experience in endoscopy.
BLS Certification
