Job Summary:

The Information Security Analyst will support Mainframe Identity and Access Management (IAM) Operations, focusing on provisioning and access controls for users operating in a mainframe environment. This role supports business-as-usual (BAU) access management activities and works closely with request and change workflows to ensure secure, timely, and compliant access to mainframe systems. This role is technically hands-on and is best suited for professionals with a background in IAM operations, mainframe security, or related technical access administration. It does not require mainframe application development experience (e.g., COBOL), but does require comfort working with command-line interfaces and security tooling.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer mainframe user access in alignment with enterprise Identity & Access Management (IAM) and security policies
Perform access provisioning, deprovisioning, and modifications throughout the identity lifecycle (joiner, mover, leaver)
Process and manage access requests through established request intake tools and workflows
Handle an average of 12-15 access tickets per day (monthly volume approximately 300-400 tickets)
Support password resets, approvals, remediation tasks, and access troubleshooting
Apply change management and incident management procedures for access-related activities
Maintain accurate documentation of IAM processes and operational procedures
Enforce least-privilege and segregation-of-duties (SoD) controls for mainframe access
Investigate and resolve access issues, escalating complex problems when necessary
Required Qualifications:
2-4 years of experience in Mainframe, Identity & Access Management, or Access Provisioning roles
Technical background with the ability to work in command-line or system-level environments
Experience with operational IAM work (not governance- or documentation-only roles)
Familiarity with access request, change, and incident management processes
Ability to manage high-volume, repeatable BAU workloads with attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with mainframe security tools such as RACF, Top Secret, or ACF2
Exposure to mainframe user and group access administration
Background in enterprise security or infrastructure operations
Prior experience supporting regulated or audited environments
Note:

RACF knowledge is helpful but not required. Candidates with general mainframe experience (including former COBOL developers or infrastructure professionals) or strong access provisioning experience will be considered.
Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday, standard business hours
Coverage aligns with Central and Western U.S. time zones
