
Technology Product Owner - Data & Analytics Contract to Hire

We have a 20+ year relationship with our Life Science client.
This is an up to 6-month contract-to-hire position.
This position is HYBRID and requires on-site presence 3 days a week in the greater Boston/North Shore area.
Job Summary
The Technical Product Owner (TPO) – Data & Analytics is accountable for the end‑to‑end ownership of data products across data engineering, analytics, and visualization.
This role drives the translation of the business priorities into executable product backlogs, leads delivery through agile squads, and ensures measurable business outcomes.
The TPO owns the full lifecycle from discovery to value realization.
Key Responsibilities
Owns product vision and roadmap across data platform, analytics, and visualization.
Translates enterprise and IT tactical plan priorities into product goals, epics, and success metrics.
Makes explicit trade‑offs across scope, speed, quality, and capacity.
Owns data and analytics products from discovery through delivery, adoption, and outcome measurement.
Accountable for measurable business and patient impact, with traceability from strategy to squad execution.
Engineering, Analytics & Visualization Delivery
Leads cross‑functional teams across data engineering, analytics, and data visualization.
Owns backlog prioritization, sprint goals, and acceptance criteria end‑to‑end.
Data Platform & Technical Expertise
Applies strong working knowledge of data platforms, analytics tooling, and visualization layers.
Partners with Data Architecture and Data Platform Engineering on scalable, compliant solutions.
Outcomes & Measurement
Defines outcome metrics and success criteria for all products.
Tracks adoption and impact post‑delivery and drives corrective action where outcomes fall short.
Business & Domain Understanding
Understands commercial operations, field workflows, and the patient and business case lifecycle.
Translates domain needs into actionable data and analytics requirements without over‑engineering.
Stakeholder Management & Influence
Aligns IT, Data, Analytics, and Business stakeholders around shared priorities.
Communicates decisions, risks, and trade‑offs clearly and early.
Agile & Product Operating Model
Operates effectively in an Agile, product‑centric delivery model.
Uses delivery and flow metrics to improve predictability and throughput.
