Overview
We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to support financial crime investigations by developing and maintaining data pipelines, queries, and analytical tools that transform large, complex datasets into actionable insights. This role focuses on integrating data from multiple sources, ensuring data quality and accessibility, and enabling analysts through centralized dashboards and visualizations in a secure environment.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines to ingest and integrate data from internal systems and external agency partners
Build and optimize complex queries and scripts to process large financial datasets
Develop and manage centralized data stores ensuring data integrity, quality, and usability
Implement APIs and automated processes to synchronize and update data across systems
Create and maintain dashboards and visualizations to support investigative analysis
Manage data access controls and maintain access lists in accordance with security requirements
Perform data validation, cleansing, and reconciliation to ensure accuracy and consistency
Troubleshoot data-related issues and optimize performance of data workflows
Support ongoing enhancements and continuous improvement of data integration and analytics capabilities
Required Skills & Qualifications
Active DOD Top Secret Clearance
Strong experience in data engineering and analytics using SQL and Python
Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines and working with large datasets
Proficiency in data integration using APIs and automated workflows
Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar)
Strong understanding of data modeling, data quality, and data governance practices
Ability to work with structured and unstructured data from multiple sources
Experience working in secure or regulated environments with sensitive data
Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to support investigative or analytical use cases
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and up to eight (8) years of relevant experience

Work schedule: Monday – Friday day shift
Amount of travel: Less than 10%

Wage Information
Target salary range: $93,000.00 - $125,000.00. The salary range displayed is an estimate and will be determined on several factors regarding the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies and experience, as well as contract parameters and organizational requirements. The displayed salary is one component of the total compensation package for employees.
