OVERVIEW
We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join a Network & Security Platform team responsible for a global network footprint across data center, co-location, and enterprise environments.
This role is heavily focused on securing and optimizing large-scale data center networks supporting high-performance compute and mission-critical workloads. The position combines deep networking expertise with hands‑on responsibility for network security controls, including firewalls, segmentation, proxy services, and load balancing within complex, multi‑tenant environments.
The ideal candidate is a network engineer with strong security experience—someone who understands how to design, implement, and operate secure, high-performance network infrastructure at scale.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Network Engineering & Operations
Design, implement, and support scalable, resilient data center network infrastructure
Operate across routing, switching, firewall, and WAN environments
Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex network and security-related issues
Implement architectures leveraging EVPN, VXLAN, and MPLS
Support WAN environments including SD-WAN and segment routing
Work across Cisco and Arista platforms (IOS, IOS-XR, NX-OS, EOS)
Network Security Engineering
Design and manage network security controls within data center environments
Configure and support firewalls, load balancers, proxies, and segmentation strategies
Implement multi‑tenant network isolation and secure connectivity patterns
Partner with security teams to align on policies, standards, and risk mitigation
Automation & DevOps
Automate network and security operations using Python, Ansible, Git, and Jinja2
Support Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and CI/CD for network provisioning
Improve operational efficiency through automation and tooling
Monitoring, Performance & Reliability
Monitor network and security health using telemetry and observability tools
Perform packet analysis, performance tuning, and root cause analysis
Conduct audits to ensure compliance with standards and best practices
Partner with Data Center, Security, and Infrastructure teams
Support high-performance compute environments (HPC/AI workloads where applicable)
Mentor junior engineers and lead during incident response scenarios
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Strong hands‑on experience with Cisco and Arista platforms
Deep knowledge of BGP, OSPF, EVPN, VXLAN, and MPLS
Experience with network security technologies (firewalls, proxies, load balancers, segmentation)
Strong troubleshooting skills including packet analysis and performance optimization
Experience working in Agile or DevOps environments
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Network monitoring, telemetry, and observability platforms
Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and CI/CD practices
PREFERRED
Experience with InfiniBand or HPC environments
CCNP or equivalent required; CCIE or advanced certifications preferred
