Description
The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the management of employee data, maintaining payroll systems, ensuring the accuracy of timesheets and that employees are paid correctly and on time. The incumbent is expected to model daily practices aligning with the company's mission and core values, collaborating with key internal/external resources, and participating in ongoing self-development.

Essential Functions

Maintain the payroll function within the HRIS system by coordinating with internal customers and outside vendors including, but not limited to, UKG Software, Empower and CEFCU.

Process employee data including hours worked, salaries, and deductions to correctly administer payroll.

Reconcile batches in the payroll system for hourly employees on the Work Force Management system.

Manage payroll data for employees and update information and deductions as needed.

Perform other payroll and accounting projects as directed by supervisor.

Work safely at all times and adhere to all applicable safety policies; comply with all company policies, procedures, and standards.

Require regular and punctual employee attendance.

Perform other duties as assigned and fulfill responsibilities as required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Exceptional organizational, planning, self-management, time management and multi-tasking skills.

Ability to work on multiple projects and deal effectively with employees and management.

Working knowledge of a Payroll/HRIS software (e.g., UKG, Dayforce, etc.).

Advanced Microsoft Office product skills.

Technical knowledge and expertise related to the payroll process and associated workflow.

Uses logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems and the ability to understand implications to an individual and/or the organization.

Requirements
Education and Experience:

Minimum of three years job-related experience required.

High school diploma or equivalent with additional specialized training required.

Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None

Travel:

Limited travel is to be expected.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to perform each job duty and responsibility satisfactorily; reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities.

Position involves extended periods in a stationary position.

Constant movement and use of limbs; requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina.

Occasionally moves materials or equipment weighing up to 10 lbs.

Communicates with others, must exchange accurate information in these situations.

Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

Work Environment
Performed inside a professional office environment, in environmentally controlled conditions.
