Occupational Therapist Job Details — Bala Cynwyd, PA Location: Bala Cynwyd, PA (serving Montgomery County zip codes 19004, 19406, 19405, 19462, 19444, and 19428) Setting: Hospital (inpatient rehabilitation) and Home Health (home health OT visits) Contract Length: 13 weeks Start Date: May 20, 2026 Shifts per Week: 5 Shift Duration: 8-hour day shifts Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,030 – $2,190 Hours per Week: 40 Employment Type: Local Contract (W2) Job Requirements — Occupational Therapist (OT) Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Pennsylvania (PA) Minimum 1 year of clinical experience as an OT; home health experience preferred Experience with acute care/inpatient rehabilitation and home health OT assessments Skilled in ADL (activities of daily living) retraining, adaptive equipment recommendations, and therapeutic interventions Strong communication, documentation (electronic medical record/EMR), and organizational skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team (physicians, nurses, PT, SLP, case managers) Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for home health visits Responsibilities — Hospital & Home Health Occupational Therapy Provide high-quality occupational therapy services to adult and geriatric patients in inpatient hospital and home health settings Perform comprehensive evaluations, establish measurable goals, and develop individualized treatment plans focused on functional independence Deliver skilled interventions for ADLs, transfers, mobility, cognition, and adaptive equipment training Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, speech therapists, and case managers to optimize patient outcomes Document patient progress, outcomes, and discharge plans accurately and timely in the EMR, following facility and regulatory standards Educate patients and family caregivers on therapeutic techniques, home safety, fall prevention, and community resources Why Join Our Healthcare Team?
