Job Details Assignment Length: 13 weeks (May 31, 2026 – August 29, 2026) Location: Newton, MA (serving North Region communities; Boston area travel) Setting: Hospital / Home Health (home health OT, hospital OT) Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (8-hour days) Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week Employment Type: Travel Occupational Therapist / Travel OT Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,030 – $2,190 Job Requirements Current Occupational Therapist license in Massachusetts (OTR/L preferred) Registered with the Board of Registration in Massachusetts At least 1 year of certified home care OT experience required; minimum 2 years total experience in acute care, rehab, or homecare as an Occupational Therapist Strong proficiency with clinical documentation and computer software; experience with handheld patient care devices preferred Excellent verbal, written, and electronic communication skills Strong customer service skills and ability to work with diverse patient populations across the lifespan Ability to prioritize caseloads, adapt to changing clinical situations, and travel within the geographic area Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred for home health travel within North Region Responsibilities Provide occupational therapy services to patients in their place of residence and in hospital settings for cognitive and/or physical impairments due to injury, disease, disability, or other causes Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans focused on ADL/IADL training, functional independence, and safety Recommend adaptive equipment, home modifications, and assistive technology when appropriate Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to coordinate care and achieve treatment goals Document patient progress, maintain accurate records, and complete required clinical paperwork in a timely manner Manage technical, environmental, and financial resources effectively while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care Serve diverse patient populations ranging from pediatric to geriatric clients, supporting continuity of care across the Boston area Apply now to join our healthcare team as a Travel Occupational Therapist in Newton, MA.
