HR Analyst, Data & Reporting
to join our People Operations team. This position can be based in Salt Lake City, UT or Durham, North Carolina and offers a hybrid schedule (50% onsite, 50% remote). The role serves as a key contributor to the integrity and accessibility of HR data across the organization and requires analytical curiosity, strong attention to detail, and a genuine passion for turning data into action.
Position Overview
The HR Analyst, Data & Reporting sits within HR Operations and partners closely with HR functions to generate meaningful workforce insights, ensure system accuracy, and support the seamless delivery of core HR operational services throughout the employee lifecycle. This individual will apply practical knowledge of HR data systems and reporting practices, collaborate across HR functions, and ensure that all activities align with internal policies, data privacy standards, and regulatory requirements.
Principal Job Duties and Responsibilities
HR Reporting & Analytics
Generate and distribute recurring and ad hoc HR reports (demographics, turnover, absenteeism, overtime, and more) with accuracy and on time.
Maintain dashboards and reporting tools that give leadership clear visibility into workforce trends.
Support data audits to identify and resolve inconsistencies, maintaining high standards of data quality.
Collaborate across HR functions to ensure consistent data inputs and outputs, and support cross‑functional reporting requests.
Prepare reports for internal leadership and external agencies (government bodies, insurers, regulators) as needed.
Test and validate new HRIS features and system updates.
HR Data Administration
Maintain and update employee records throughout the full employee lifecycle — onboarding, transfers, exits, and everything in between.
Process employee data changes (personal info, job titles, departments, employment status) with timeliness and precision.
Manage HR inquiries across multiple channels, resolving routine questions and escalating complex matters appropriately.
Support onboarding and offboarding activities, including orientation coordination and exit documentation.
Ensure all work aligns with data privacy standards, internal policies, and regulatory requirements.
Education, Experience & Skills
Bachelor’s degree required.
2+ years of experience with HR data, HR reporting tools, or HR data management systems, including Tableau, SuccessFactors, or similar platforms. Practical knowledge of HRIS platforms and experience generating reports.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights.
Exceptional attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
Clear communicator — able to explain data and HR processes to varied audiences.
Proven ability to collaborate effectively across HR functions and work independently with general supervision in a fast‑paced environment.
Proactive mindset with a natural inclination toward process improvement and efficiency.
Salary & Benefits
The estimated salary range for this role based in North Carolina and Utah is between $80,000 and $101,600. This role is eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and individual performance per bioMérieux’s bonus program. The range may differ from ranges offered for similar positions elsewhere in the country due to differences in cost of living. Actual compensation within this range is determined based on the successful candidate’s experience and will be presented in writing at the time of the offer.
