Internship Description
We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented Video Production Intern to join our Design and Communications Team. This role provides hands‑on experience throughout the video production process—from pre‑production and filming to editing and publishing. The ideal candidate is passionate about visual storytelling, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment. Opportunities for graphic design projects are also available.
Responsibilities
Assist with all aspects of video production, including planning, filming, and editing
Edit video content for use on social media and websites
Photograph events as needed
Organize and log footage, manage file storage, and maintain media assets
Support creative brainstorming and concept development
Research visual trends and recommend fresh content ideas
Ensure content aligns with brand guidelines and project goals
Requirements
Familiarity with Adobe Premiere Pro (After Effects, Audition, and the Creative Suite a plus)
Strong attention to detail and storytelling instincts
Ability to take direction and work both independently and in a team
Comfortable meeting deadlines and managing multiple tasks
A portfolio or sample reel is strongly encouraged
Academic majors in Film, Media Production, Design, Communications, or related fields preferred
Compensation
This position pays $19 per hour. The internship runs from mid‑June through early August.
Working Conditions
20 hours per week
Based in the Washington, DC office
Interns must be in the office on designated team days (3 days a week) and specifically on Wednesdays for cohort touch‑base
