Job Summary
Works under general supervision to process castings through final gauging to meet customer requirements as prescribed by the PMS/product criteria, visual specifications and QAS specifications. Dimensionally gauges and adjusts dimensions using a variety of gauges, special tools, and blast cabinets. The employee must plan and perform the proper sequence of set‑ups, operations, and processes.
Responsibilities
Verify castings against lot travelers to ensure all previous operations are complete.
Perform finishing operations using burrs, belts, nylon wheels, blast cabinets, and other tools.
Understand and use dimensional inspection gauges; ensure parts meet PMS/product criteria requirements.
Calibrate gauges to set masters as applicable.
Inspect components using electronic or manual gauges per written instructions.
Adjust and repair out‑of‑tolerance castings with hand tools, air gun, arbor press, hydraulic press, and special fixtures to bring castings into tolerance.
Record information on proper paperwork such as SRONs.
Cleans and lubricates gauges as required.
Notify gauge maintenance technician of gauges needing repair.
Maintain work area in a clean, orderly, and safe condition.
Take technical direction from product engineering and gauge technician.
Perform other operations as required.
Perform first visual inspection and comply with all EHS rules related to the work environment.
Apply gauging specifications and work with decimal dimensioning and recording.
Develop a sense of touch and judgment to prevent breaking or bending when bringing castings back into tolerance by using non‑standard methods.
Operate hoist, set up/tear down gauges, troubleshoot, apply basic 5S to gauges, manage gauge storage area, audit gauges.
Essential Functions
Use computers for data entry and other related tasks.
Read and interpret Product Criteria (PC) and Activity Instructions (AI).
Work as a team member under general supervision.
Maintain expected quality levels.
Comply with all site‑required policies and procedures, including EHS, Quality, Code of Conduct, and the Wichita Falls Employee Handbook.
Physical Demands
Push, pull & twist.
Lift and carry floor‑to‑waist, wheel, and other items; moderate lifting >50 lbs.
Grip, pinch, reach near, far, and overhead.
Vibration exposure to hand/arm.
Climb ladders and stairs.
Good manual dexterity for computer equipment and precision measuring instruments.
Work may require >8 hours daily and >5 days weekly.
Squatting, crouching, bending to retrieve stored items from lower shelves and cabinets.
Frequent standing while gauging and frequent sitting while wall gauging or finishing.
Perform 5S cleaning activities as required.

Pay
Pay rate begins at $21.27 and tops out at $26.40 once the operator has attained the required skills. An additional $1.00 shift differential is provided.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
Legally authorized to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship available.
Position entails access to export‑controlled items; applicants must be able to lawfully obtain access.
Preferred Qualifications
Basic computer skills.
