THE OPPORTUNITY
The HR Generalist combines traditional human resources responsibilities with advanced expertise in HR systems to support a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role supports core HR functions—including employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, and compliance—while leading HRIS administration, data management, reporting, and process optimization to improve operational efficiency and support data-driven decision‑making.
In addition, the HR Generalist supports plant and organizational initiatives, helping to standardize processes and transfer best practices across departments and shifts. As an integral member of the HR team, this role partners closely with operations leadership and cross‑functional teams to drive workforce effectiveness, ensure compliance with labor regulations, and contribute to overall organizational success through strong collaboration, communication, and coordination.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Serve as the primary point of contact for employees and managers, fostering strong working relationships and providing day‑to‑day HR support.
Build and maintain effective partnerships with internal stakeholders to align HR strategies with business objectives.
Provide guidance, coaching, and training to supervisors on employee relations, performance management, and HR best practices.
Maintain and optimize HRIS platforms
Ensure data accuracy through audits, validations, and system controls
Manage employee data, workflows, and system configurations
Act as liaison between HR, IT, and external vendors
Train team members and managers on HRIS tools
Provide troubleshooting and ongoing system support
Partner with leadership to recruit and retain key talent critical to business success.
Lead HR system implementations, upgrades, and integrations
Identify and automate manual HR processes
Develop SOPs and user documentation
Assist leadership in identifying high‑potential employees, developing succession plans, and creating career path frameworks.
Support for payroll processing as needed.
Act as a driver of performance improvement by promoting positive change in people management practices.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bachelor’s Degree in HR, business, information systems, or experience in a related field
3–6+ years of HR experience
Hands‑on experience with HRIS platforms
Strong excel/data skills
Knowledge of HR compliance and best practices
HR certification (e.g., shrm-cp, phr) preferred
HR operations + technical system expertise
Data analysis and reporting
Process improvement and automation
Strong communication
High attention to detail and confidentiality
