Senior Principal Program Planning Scheduling Analyst (level 4)

– Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS)

Location: Palmdale, CA (requires up to 25% travel) or El Segundo, CA / San Diego, CA (requires up to 50% travel). The role is on‑site daily and involves working closely with Program Leadership to meet the goals and objectives of the AS Business Management organization.

Responsibilities

Prepares, develops and coordinates the integrated master plan and integrated master schedule to meet all program objectives.

Ensures major projects and program schedules and plans are horizontally and vertically integrated across company functional groups including finance, engineering, material, manufacturing, and quality.

Tracks plans and schedules, performs risk analysis, identifies and resolves critical path and network logic conflicts.

Uses Gantt, PERT, milestone charts, earned value management and other project management techniques to gauge progress and identify performance variances to facilitate focus and intervention on critical areas.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of experience in program planning, scheduling, and/or industry‑related fields OR Master’s degree with 6 years of experience in program planning, scheduling, and/or industry‑related fields OR 12 years of applicable work experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.

Active DoD Secret clearance or higher (background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).

Ability to obtain and maintain Program Access within a reasonable period, as determined by the company.

Demonstrated experience in MS Project including detail development of an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).

Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) practices.

Willingness to support implementation on programs.

Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in material cost management.

Strong proficiency with EVM.

Experience with SAP and MPM and/or COBRA.

Benefits

Primary level salary range: $129,300.00 – $193,900.00.

May be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses, including long‑term incentives for VP or Director positions.
