Maintenance Technician t
to join our Facilities and Operations team and perform a wide range of preventative, routine, and emergency maintenance tasks to ensure that the campus is safe, clean, and well‑maintained for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Landon has 35 acres and 17 buildings.
Key Responsibilities
Perform general maintenance and repair work across campus, including painting, minor plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks.
Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance of facilities and equipment.
Replace light bulbs, fixtures, and perform basic electrical troubleshooting.
Support campus operations including event set‑up and breakdown, furniture moving, and room configurations.
Assist with carpool operations and other daily campus logistics.
Maintain cleanliness of campus grounds including trash removal, sweeping, and general upkeep.
Assist with groundskeeping tasks including grass cutting, landscaping, and seasonal clean‑up.
Operate maintenance equipment and machinery such as snow plows, lawn equipment, and other tools safely and effectively.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
Support snow and ice removal efforts during inclement weather.
Support the general operations of the school such as security, facilities and transportation (including other duties as assigned).
Regular work hours are Monday through Friday with weekends or extended hours for special events.

Requirements
Prior experience in general maintenance, facilities, or a related field preferred.
Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repair work.
Strong troubleshooting, problem‑solving skills.
Ability to safely operate maintenance equipment and machinery (e.g., snow plows, lawn equipment).
Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials on a regular basis.
Proficiency in English (verbal and written).
Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Hold a CDL license with school bus endorsement preferred, but not required.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy objects (50+ lbs).
Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and perform physical labor for extended periods.
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
