
Material Handler

Overview
Position: Material Handler. The Material Handler is responsible for processing, verifying, and shipping materials while maintaining inventory accuracy using warehouse management software. Key duties include loading and unloading freight, conducting cycle counts, labeling shipments, and ensuring compliance with safety and reporting procedures.
Responsibilities
Process all aspects of materials using warehouse inventory software
Label and ship orders according to established procedures for each customer
Accurately pick and weigh all shipments
Inspect freight and follow appropriate reporting procedures
Assist with inventory and cycle counts
Rotate and re-stock shelves according to inventory procedures
Verify all inbound and outbound materials
Provide prompt and accurate customer service
Arrange and maintain filing and recording systems
Document monthly activities for period end reporting
Safely load and unload trailers by utilizing equipment such as hand trucks/pallet jacks and forklifts
Shrink wrap freight pallets
Maintain a clean and safe working environment
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Minimum of 2 years\' experience of general warehouse knowledge
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent verbal and written communication
Computer skills, including Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Warehouse Oracle Database Experience is a plus
Must be able to frequently maneuver up to 450 pounds
Ability to work under minimal supervision
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and manager
