DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Driver License Examiner Assistant, you will utilize your exceptional customer service skills to respond to customer inquiries and provide essential assistance with a wide range of application processes.
Confirm applicant identification
Ensure proper completion of application forms
Accurately enter test results and customer data into the online driver license application software
Administer standardized knowledge assessments to gauge applicant knowledge of vehicle code, driving regulations, and relevant traffic control devices
Conduct vision screening for all applicants using a telebinocular instrument
Provide customers with information or services relating to driver’s license or identification card renewals, duplicates, out-of-state transfers, and obtaining and maintaining CDL and motorcycle licenses
Apply strong understanding of various commercial license requirements, restrictions, and endorsements to best serve the public
Adhere to all components of the Driver and Vehicle Services Customer Service Policy
WORK SCHEDULE AND ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Full‑time employment
Work hours: 8:15 AM to 4:45 PM, Tuesday – Saturday, with a 30‑minute lunch break
Overtime and travel to other driver license centers may be required as necessary
Telework: Not an option in this position
Salary: Starting salary may be non‑negotiable in some cases
QUALIFICATIONS
One year of experience obtaining, evaluating, and providing information to the public
Meet Pennsylvania residency requirement
Must be able to perform essential job functions
LEGAL REQUIREMENTS
Conditional offer of employment will require submission of criminal history reports
Selected candidate must undergo and pass a Fingerprint and Name‑Based Criminal History Check prior to employment
